coated thermowell is said to be ideal if the temperatures are not high as it is resistant to most acids. Using a thin Teflon dip coat is a normal practice however one needs to understand that the thin coat can easily damage them and provide no protection.GREEN PTFE Thermowell provides excellent release properties and weather ability. They offer good resistance to abrasion and low permeability. Teflon Sleeved Thermowells offer great electrical properties such as good dielectric strength. However, it does not have resistance to high energy radiation.
Thermowell PTFE Coating covers all the wetted parts of the thermowell. A thick coating of PTFE is required to protect the temperature sensor. Flange thermowell PTFE produced by us are as per the international standards and are supplied to various countries. PTFE Threaded Thermowell Assemblies are easily installed and are widely used in a variety of applications. PTFE Heavy Duty Thermowell has the risk of outer covering being scratched and therefore care needs to be taken while installing it
